Etherington calls for unity

Matthew Etherington has called for West Ham to show unity on the pitch and in the stands as they attempt to reverse a terrible run of five defeats in a row.
Since the arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano The Hammers have failed to win a game, with talk of a takeover doing little to help the mood of instability at Upton Park.
Alan Pardew's side have also gone 488 minutes without a goal, but left-winger Etherington believes if the team continue to pull together, and the fans show their support, then the London side will recapture the form that saw them impress last season.
"All we can do is stick together as a team. We've got to come out for our next game all guns blazing and work hard - if we do that I don't think the fans can grumble," said Etherington.
"If we're putting in 100 percent effort in every game and not getting the breaks, it's one of those things which happens in football.
"We've got to stick together, the fans have got to stick with the players, and I'm sure we'll come out of this.
"It's important they stick by us and not turn on us, which I'm sure they won't. If they stick behind us it'll mean a lot.
"There's expectation and rightly so because we had a good season last year.
"We've got to get back to what we were doing last year and I'm sure the results will come
