ZURICH, Switzerland: Horace Reid, Trinidad and Tobago's Ramesh Ramhdan and David Sabir of Bermuda, are among the appointees from the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Associations of Football (CONCACAF) to serve on its Stadia Inspector Committee for the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa.

The trio are among the six members selected by the Federation Internationale Football Associations (FIFA) from the CONCACAF region to attend a workshop organised for all its World Cup Stadia Inspectors. The workshop will be at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

"On the recommendation of FIFA vice-president and CONCACAF president, Austin 'Jack' Warner, FIFA has appointed Horace Reid as a FIFA Stadia Inspector for World Cup 2010 qualifying venues," a media release said.

"As part of the concept, FIFA will be carrying out an inspection of stadia which will potentially be used for World Cup qualifying in its 206 member countries," the release added.

Reid, the former general secretary of Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) served as manager of the Reggae Boyz successful 1998 Road to France campaign and is the current chairman of CONCACAF's Administration Committee, and Secretary of its Appeals Committee.

Sabir, the General Secretary of the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) and Trinidadian World Cup referee, Ramhdan, will also be in the midst of members assigned by the sport's governing body to perform inspection on the possible stadiums that could be used in qualifying competition for the next tournament.
