Premiere of Bollywood movie made in TT
By SEETA PERSAD (T&T NEWSDAY).

DULHA Mil Gaya, a Bollywood movie which was filmed in part at scenic locations in Trinidad and Tobago, will premiere locally at MovieTowne and at Caribbean Cinemas 8 next Wednesday.

The film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan, features segments with members of local dance group Shiv Shakti and the Malick Folk Performers. Several scenes were filmed on location at Pigeon Point, Tobago and in Chaguaramas on Trinidadís west coast.

Indian writer/director Mudassar Aziz and producer Viveck Vaswani joined forces with TTís Anthony Maharaj for the production of the film. Maharaj, who was executive producer for the film, made several trips to India to work with the cast.

He explained that the film took three years to complete due to the work load of stars Shah Rukh Khan and Sushmita Sen. Music for the film was done by Lalit Pandit and other members of the cast include Mohit Chadha, Tara Sharma, Johnny Lever, Beena Kak, Suchitra Pillai and Viveck Vaswani.

The plot centres around relationships and the changes that happen in people's lives when they fall in love.

Tej Dhanraj aka Donsai (Fardeen) is a rich playboy based in Trinidad and Tobago who lives to party hard and have fun with the most attractive gals minus commitment. His only good female friend is the hot shot super model Shimmer (Sushmita Sen).

However, Donsaiís hopes of leading a fun-filled life comes crashing down when his late fatherís will is read by his lawyer Mr. Vakil (Vivek Vaswani). He is informed that if he wants to inherit his fatherís wealth, a clause in the will makes it compulsory for Donsai to get married to the daughter of his fatherís friend who lives in a Punjab village.

Vakil suggests a loophole to a reluctant Donsai. He marries the Punjab small town girl, Samarpreet Singh (Ishita Sharma) and returns to Trinidad without her. He stops any communication with her but dutifully keeps sending a big cheque every month end.

Samarpreet decides to go to Trinidad herself. When she arrives at his doorstep she is is stunned to see Donsai having fun with other females. She is thrown out of the house by his bodyguards. Following the incident she lands up in Shimmerís house. A snooty, high society girl, Shimmer at first detests her but after hearing her story decides to help.

How Shimmer manages to help Samarpreet woo Donsai back by completely transforming her into a hottie and how she also learns a lesson or two about true love from her long time lover PRG (Shah Rukh Khan) forms the rest of the plot.

Local Bollywood fans have been eagerly looking forward to the release of the film which fetures Shiv Shakti girls doing several segments with Sushmita, as well as an entire dance item on their own choreographed by local dance guru Michael Salickram.

The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

Hollywood role is really to do a dry run for Bollywood.
The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today are Christians who acknowledge Jesus ;with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.
