Sam: It was a great night's work
saddlers.premiumtv.co.uk

HECTOR Sam described last night's victory over Bury as 'a great night's work'. And he was right. Trailing 1-0 with less than a quarter-of-an-hour to go, The Saddlers showed great spirit to turn the game on its head and come back to Bescot with all three points. It was Sam who sealed the win as he followed up Ian Roper's scrambled equaliser with an 85th minute winner after coming on as a second-half substitute. "It was a great nights work," he beamed. "They got the first goal but we showed great character to come back and take the three points. "If you want to win the league you have to come to places like Bury and win and we've done that. "The gaffer has drilled it into us to keep going until the very end and our will to get back into the game and then to win it was there for all to see.

Bury 1-2 Walsall
Two late goals at Gigg Lane kept League Two leaders Walsall flying high.
Paul Scott shot the Shakers into a 52nd-minute lead after Walsall failed to clear a Tom Kennedy corner.

Top scorer Andy Bishop was then denied his 13th goal of the season by a flying save from Clayton Ince before Ian Roper bundled in a 75th-minute equaliser.

On-loan keeper Andy Warrington was injured in the process and he was limping when substitute Hector Sam scored an 85th-minute winner.

Good job Sam and Ince... Keep the flag flying high...
