Talk about a swift return.............ah love it!!

Alan Pardew could be set for a dramatic return to football with bottom-of-the-table Charlton Athletic.

A day after he was dismissed as West Ham manager, Pardew is being touted as a replacement for Les Reed at the Valley.

According to The Daily Mirror, Pardew's dismissal on Monday is set to kick-start the managerial merry-go-round, with Alan Curbishley already in talks at Upton Park and 'Charlton considering a dramatic move for him as Reed has struggled to improve the Addicks' results.'

Pardew will not, however, necessarily instantly require a new job after reportedly securing a £1m pay-off from West Ham.

I guess Charlton want to make sure that they get relegated......Pardew is a good manager but he'll have less to work with than he did at West Ham.

It could be worse though, they could have gone after Souness!!
