Wertheim, Germany: Looks like T&T is the name of choice for rec teams in Germany these days. The Soca Warriors and fans sure made an impression.
A team just won a recreational football tournament after naming themselves "Trindad/Tobago" at the Distel Cup, a traditional tournament organized by SV Viktoria Wertheim. Out of the four preliminary groups "MC Außengeländer", "You have to win", "Trinidad/Tobago", "Anadolu Lauda", "Vorrundenaus", "Blackout Wenkheim", TJK Tauberbischofsheim und "Die Durstigen (the thirsty ones)" advanced.
In the second round the winners of group A were "Anadolu Lauda" with "Die Durstigen" as runners-up. Group B winners were "Trinidad/Tobago" and runners-up were TJK Tauber. T/T beat out "Die Durstigen" in their semi-final, while TJK Tauber put away "Anadolu Lauda".
Ultimately Trinidad/Tobago won the day in the final.
