IS crouch worth 7 million . Its a good deal for Jones

but is crouch really worth 7 mill. He is good. I like him as a target man but he aint worth more than 1 mill, in my opiion. I guess thats becasue he is english. Watchout for Birchall's market value skyrocketing.

He have the height and decent feet, with the right service (long ball) he and the club would benefit.

He would give more options up front.

7 million? Nah man!! i like crouch, de man real skillfull for he height but he eh worth 7 million.

It doh make sense 2 pay 7mil for him, especially cause Benitez prefer to play one striker and a supporting midfielder,like Luis Enrique last year. So Crouch will be 3rd choice behind Cisse and Morientes. I guess he there in case of injuries. I still find Pongolle coulda get a chance, he was their best striker in pre-season last year and Benitez just overs him whole season. Plus they have Mellor coming through  just aching to get a chance again after that goal against Arsenal...

I like Crouch too, he's suprisingly skillful with his feet but 7 million come on (is that pounds or US). Also Shaun W.P. 21 million pounds, I admit he's a really classy young player but are they really worth so much money. The transfer market is really inflated in my opinion and then some of these players don't even perform.

ironically crouch was sold by harry rednapp then portsmoth manager to southampton for 5 million pounds and now harry is selling him again for 7 million pounds.as for is he worth it, are any of these players worth these huge price tags now????

He was at Portsmouth for a year before Graham Taylor bought him for 4 times he price that Portsmouth bought him for.

the reason why English players are overpriced is cause there aren't many available that are of decent quaility that aren't already signed up.
do allyuh know that next couple years UEFA going to impose the EU player limit?..whereas a British team will have to have 75%(or similar) homegrown talent in their first squad. Chelsea already have a english backbone. Whereas Tottenham buying up every damn english midfilder they could find..maybe they going to seel some in the next couple years.
so them clubs that buying every Tom, Dick and Harry who are not Britsh i ent know whats their rationale.
