The recognized big three is currently Cech, Buffon and Casillas.

Dida has come a long way but he is still a bungler. I am surprised that Milan sticks with hime so much over Abiatti.

The Cameroonian Kameni is also highly rated, never seen him play though.
THE WARRIORS WILL NOT BE DENIED.

Dida is clearly better than Abiatti........at least he has been in the last couple seasons.....plus teams don't like to play around with their keeper selection too much, in the interest of stability.

Kameni is very good.......I forgot. Seen quite a few games with him.....he's worth whatever hype surrounds him.

Dida is too unpredictable.
Remember a flashy goalkeeper isn't always good..yes he made a fanatstic save..but why did he have to make that astounding save in the first place?..obviously is cause he position was wrong.
When i look at keepers,i look at the solid ones..right now i would say Robinson, Casillas, Cech , Given and Buffon are the top 5.

Buffon is the best keeper in the world. Kameni a boss but right now he's all reflexes and needs to be developed. He made one save in a game against Barcelona last season that ranks as one of the best saves I've ever seen. He's the best goalkeeper to come out of Africa since the Cameroon goalkeeper in WC90.

Mr. Bufon, followed by Casillas and Cech.  Ah will throw in Van Der Sar also.  People will start remembering what a good goalie he is now that he is back with a high profile club, but he never lost anything. Kahn still good too.  Up and coming: Reina (Liverpool), Kameni (Need to see a little more of how he commands his defence and how he deals with crosses before I make further jugdment, but he is definitely one of the best shot stoppers out there), Robinson, and Germany's future No. 1--Hildebrand.

Jayerson, ah think yuh need to remove Toldo from that list.  At one time, it was hard to separate him from Buffon, but he sh*tting on he self for Inter.  Last time I heard, they were possibly looking into replacing him.  When last yuh see him get a national team callup? He not up to par.  Showed great promise early on, but has faded.

a shot stopper and a goalkeeper is 2 different things people.
would you rather have a shot stopper or a goalkeeper on your team?
obviously the answer is a goalkeeper.
guys like Khomeni etc have amazing reflexes but they still have a lot to learn to even come close to fellas like Kahn and van der Sar.

babbaboy, Kahn and Van Der Sar play for different countries and different clubs. Ah feel you thinking about Jens Lehman.

Feliziano, why must a shotstopper and goalkeeper be mutually exclusive? Isn't shot-stopping a part of the whole GK package?

I will go for Cech, followed by Buffon...I think those two are a level above everyone else...

True, I was thinking Buffon but typed Toldo, Buffon is what I was really thinking. Kameni and Reina are up and coming stars also.

well thats what i was trying to say..you can't class a shot stopper as a good goalkeeper cause he isn't good enough alround..all he is good at is blocking shots example our own Jack..notice his poor postioing, distribution and general skill..obviously if a goalkeeper is good alround then he will be a good shot stopper.
