Scan for Kenwyne
saintsfc.co.uk

Kenwyne Jones will today have a scan on the ankle injury which forced him out of the game at Preston.
The Saints striker limped off midway through the second half at Deepdale and left the ground on crutches.

An X-Ray has shown there is no break but the club are now checking to see if there is ligament damage or bruising to the bone.
It makes Jones doubtful for Saturday's trip to his old club Stoke where he spent a successful loan spell two seasons ago although he has not yet been ruled out.

Saints though could welcome back two recent casualties for the game at the Britannia Stadium where tickets are only available on the day, not in advance.
Alexander Ostlund and Darren Powell are both back in full training and if there is no reaction both could be in Saturday's squad.

That leaves Michael Svensson as the only long-term injury and the club are currently investigating other options after homeopathic injections failed to cure the knee problem.
The Conquering Lion of Judah shall break every chain.

Kenwyne Jones is out of Saturday game at Stoke - but could be back in action next week. The Saints striker limped out of the defeat at Preston after taking a kick on an ankle and left the ground on crutches. But X-Rays showed there is no break. A scan has revealed no ligament damage, just severe bruising. It will sideline him for the trip to the Britannia Stadium but he could be fit for the home game against Colchester and possibly even the visit of Cardiff on Tuesday.
Manager George Burley said: "He has had an X-Ray and a scan and there is no significant damage.
"The bruising and the swelling has come out and Saturday will be too early for him. He has a chance of being ready for Cardiff but otherwise he should be back for Colchester.
"It is too early to say. We will just have to see how he does. He will be seeing a chiropractor because we think it is more of a jarring.
"It has put the ankle slightly out of joint and we will have it manipulated to see if that helps.
The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

Claus Lundekvam did not train today as a precaution because of a calf injury but he is expected to be fit.
Burley welcomes back Alexander Ostlund and Darren Powell who are both back in training and added to the squad.

He added: "Darren has been missed because he gives us toughness and strength through the middle while Alex gives us competitiveness and it is good to have them back at a key stage of the season."
