Ronaldo fastest player in Milan training camp

MILAN, Italy (AP) - Ronaldo seems to be regaining his fitness.

Often criticized for being overweight at Real Madrid, the Brazil striker was the fastest player in 30-meter drills Tuesday at AC Milan's training camp.

Ronaldo covered the short distance in 4.01 seconds, according to Milan's Web site, beating teammates Filippo Inzaghi and Serginho.

Several Milan players were away with their national teams. Ronaldo was not named to Brazil's team for friendlies with Chile - which Brazil won 4-0 - and Ghana.

Milan has often set Ronaldo aside to work on his fitness since transferring from Real Madrid in January.

Ronaldo will likely be the focus of Milan's attack for Saturday's Serie A match against AS Roma since he cannot play in the Champions League quarterfinals against Bayern Munich three days later.

UEFA rules prohibit players from appearing for two different clubs in the Champions League in the same season.

Even if the whole team was there, he would have been the fastest...it had a similar article on real madrid website at a time. I can't see how men could say Kaka faster than Ronaldo...what football have you been watching. Ronaldo going to be in top form soon. AC Milan has one of the best medical staff in europe, Madrid was even trying to get their staff to keep the older players in shape.
