So they may have decided against pursueing Klose, or would they still add him?

If I'm not mistaken, Klose said that he is hoping that they could sort it out for him to join Bayern for next season.

Klose confirms switch to Bayern Munich
Germany striker Miroslav Klose has confirmed he will join Bayern Munich.

The 28-year-old, who has been linked to a string of Premier League clubs, revealed his decision after Germany's 2-1 win over Slovakia last night.
The only uncertainty, however, remains when he will actually make the switch, since he still has a year left on his contract with Werder Bremen.
'The fact is I have decided to play for FC Bayern in 2008,' he said.
'I would prefer for it to happen as quickly as possible and to have everything clear, but if I have to stay one more year in Bremen, then I will still give everything to Werder.
'I would be delighted if I were able to play for Bayern this year.'

Toni cost 11 million.

He go eventually switch teams, but don't be too surprised if WB keep him for the season. Bayern did the same thing with Hargreaves last year and they eventually sell him to ManU.

If Ribery is worth potentially $41MM US, how much is Samir Masri
worth? Or going to be worth?

I hope Masri ends up in Italy or Spain, and not in the UK, 'Le Protoge'
may be better than Platini and Zizou.

Marseille are seriously unambitious to let Ribery go the year they finally get back to the CL. I hope they spend the money well..

ps: Thats Nasri, and I personally consider him overrated. He has potential, but everyone is putting too much pressure and inflating his ego too much for my liking...

Bayern is d bully in German football. Once they want a player at another team, they get him. Look at Ballack, Ze Roberto, Poddolski just in recent years...their other teams were doign good with them but Bayern came calling and it was bye, bye time.

Klose confirmed...

Bayern Munchen building up a bomb squad for next year

Klose leaves Bremen for Bayern[/size]

http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/6962142

Associated Press, Updated 4 hours ago

The top scorer of last year's World Cup is leaving Werder one year before the end of his contract.

"Bayern fulfilled our expectations and we approved the transfer under those conditions," Werder's general manager Klaus Allofs said Tuesday.

"It's a fair solution for both sides," Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.

A statement by Werder said Bayern had made a "vastly improved" offer Monday for the Polish-born striker.

Werder said the two clubs had agreed not to reveal the transfer fee, but Bild newspaper said Bayern was paying €15 million (US$20.2 million) to obtain the striker in the biggest deal inside the Bundesliga this summer.

Bayern had already spent more than €50 million (US$67.3 million) on rebuilding the team after finishing fourth last season. The signings include Italy striker Luca Toni and France midfielder Franck Ribery.

Bayern angered Werder officials by approaching Klose shortly before a UEFA Cup semifinal game last season. The meeting was revealed in the German media and Klose later apologized to Bremen.

Werder had insisted that it would not allow Klose to leave for another Bundesliga club before his contract was over. Klose later said he would join Bayern sooner or later, but that he would prefer to go immediately.

Klose's desire to leave was a factor in the club's decision to let him go, Werder said.

"We know that we are losing a successful player," Werder said, but added that it made no sense to keep a player eager to leave after receiving a new offer from Bayern.

Werder coach Thomas Schaaf said he was sorry to see Klose go but believed that the club had made the right decision since the player did not want to stay.

"This will allow the club to have an unburdened start in the news season," Schaaf said.

Klose came to Bremen from Kaiserslautern and scored 53 goals in 89 Bundesliga games in three season. Bremen won the German Cup in 2006.

Klose went into a slump in the second half of the past season and scored only three goals for Bremen after the winter break. The fans turned against him after his contacts with Bayern became known. Bremen finished third and will play in the qualifying round of the Champions League, while Bayern will be in the UEFA Cup.

With Klose struggling, Bremen turned to Sweden striker Markus Rosenberg, a midseason acquisition from Ajax Amsterdam, who finished the season with eight goals and could become a starter now.

In Bayern, Klose will reunite with his Germany partner Lukas Podolski. But Podolski struggled in his first season with Bayern and with the arrival of Toni, he could become a reserve.

Klose's arrival could also mean the departure of Roy Makaay, who led Bayern with 16 goals last season and was Bundesliga's second leading scorer but had to face criticism for uneven performances.

Podolski, Klose, Toni, Makaay, Ribery.
This is a deep strike force Bayern have.

If I was Makaay I would be pissed.
