Roberto Carlos signs with FenerbacheAssociated Press
ISTANBUL, Turkey -- Turkish champions Fenerbahce have signed Real Madrid full back Roberto Carlos, the Istanbul club said on its Web site on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old Brazilian had said in March he would leave Real Madrid at the end of the season after 11 years at the club.
A World Cup winner in 2002, the defender had wanted to join Fenerbahce last season but had been unable to do so because of his Real Madrid contract, the club quoted his agent Dino Pasalic as saying.
