The Parade of Costumes- Saturday, August 6, 2005121 Street - Japer Avenue to Churchill Square

A must see and it's FREE!

This is the freedom parade and the event we love most about Cariwest. It starts at 12:30 p.m. from 121 Street, goes East on Jasper Avenue all the way to Churchill Square (route map). Plenty of room to show off those wonderful costumes and plenty of pavement for on-lookers. There will be bands competing for Band of the Year, but also non-competing entries.

Doors open at 8:00 pm
Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door, available at Cariwest Office or at Tix on the Square.

It's going to be a night to remember as Cariwest features live from New York - Sonny Salina, acclaimed as the leading Limbo dancer of the world! Come see this famous skilful back bender. The ever popular Trin-Can will play great dance music along with Deejay Alvin Modeste with Sound Rev. Let De Soca hit you!

Caribbean Village at the Square - Saturday & Sunday, August 6-7, 2005

Located in Churchill Square
FREE Entertainment - Music all Day!

The sounds, smells and taste of the Caribbean will pervade at Churchill Square. Arts and crafts will also be on sale and a Beer Garden runs both days from 12:00 noon- 8:00 pm. Numerous performers including Movements, Viraj (belly dancer) and others will entertain you for free! And on Sunday afternoon, the re-instated long-awaited Steelband Competition - The Sounds of Steel.
Don't miss it! It's the wind-up of the Best time in de world!
