I'm guessing a few people are thinking that Man Utd played their kids....

Average age of Man Utd's first XI - 25
Average age of Chelsea's first XI - 23

Doh try dat. What the numbers look like without Giggs in the count?
In any case, I wouldn't call them kids so much as players trying to make the squad.

Without Giggs they would be an average age of 23 too.

A question for yall United fans - Alex Ferguson's production line has produced a grand total of 1 star player in the last 10 years  - Darren Fletcher. If I'm being generous, then perhaps Wellbeck. Do yall have any hope in this latest generation (Cleverley, Powell etc)?

lmao....Take the win, after all, we sub on players who will one day be fighting to be in starting 11, rather than fighting at present to make it on the bench.

Like I said, the average age of the Chelsea team was 23 today.  Our young players aren't the future, they are the present.

Not to mention we have players like Courtois, De Bruyn and Lukaku out on loan, trying to impress enough to make it into this side.

Tunnicliffe. He is progressing well; a good driving midfielder. Another guy I like to watch is Petrucci, but he had injury issues a while back and has not gotten near the first team. I had hopes for Morrisson, but...

Nice to read these things about Rafa coming from Fergie. Also nice tuh know he is such a football peong and works hard in practice. Hope he goes from strength to strength in his development as a footballer and person.

He has been United's best and most consistent player after RVP.

Manchester United full-back Rafael can be as successful as Gary Neville, according to manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Rafael has cemented his position as United's first-choice right-back and has been one of the club's best players so far this season.

"He's been fantastic," Ferguson said of the 22-year-old.

"He had the rashness, the impetuosity of a young boy. He's a Brazilian, he loves the game, he trains like a beast, never misses training and is a football fanatic.

"When he goes home in the summer, he goes into his street team and plays every day back in Brazil. It's phenomenal.
"We were hoping somewhere along the line that maturity comes along and the rashness disappears and his form this season has been brilliant.
"He can develop the kind of career Gary had, definitely. Gary was not the finished article when he came into the team but he became a fantastic full-back - probably the best the club has ever had.

"But it did take time for him in terms of his use of the ball and his crossing. All of these things develop because he wanted them to develop and he worked hard at it.
"We invest in young players' futures and we get repaid at some point. And that's what's happening with the boy."

Another one bites the dust! Hernandez has some sweet feet boi!
WTF has happen tuh Valencia's crossing ability and ability tuh go by his man? When he off his one footedness sticks out like a man on one leg. Ashley Young is not United material, another one demensional and predictable winger!

Any youth who looking to become a striker should study his movement. He constantly have defenders
looking around for him. Impressive!
