I find it hard to believe that even with the absence of Ronaldinho, Kaka & Lucio, Brazil can't find better players than Anderson, Wagner Love, Elano, Mineiro, Juan & Alex in all of their player pool- Those guys to me are just not up to Brazil Nat'l team standard. Individually and as a team, Brazil has so far been very ordinary. They haven't scored a goal from open play, and come to think of it, they haven't forced a save from Chile's goalkeeper yet. Was glad to see Diego get benched because to me he's a disappointing underperformer in the nat'l shirt...but then Anderson is his replacement ? hmmmm...
Danny Alves is also overrated IMO...(and I've watched alot of his games at Sevilla)- Don't know how some consider him one of the best in the world... he's a fiery attacking player who can prob make things happen on his day, but his touch is unrefined, his defensive positioning & marking is loose, and his decision making needs improvement.
This is def. a painful rebuilding phase for Brazil.....Can't help but feel like an injection of confidence could be an x factor- I hope so because these guys need to step up and earn their reputation.
Should be an interesting 2nd half.
