Sunderland To Approach Cole

Sunderland To Approach Cole Black Cats manager Roy Keane is lining up a move for former Manchester United team mate and free agent Andy Cole.

The 35-year-old striker left Portsmouth last week after a pay-off from the south-coast club was finalised.

Keane (pictured) is still looking to strengthen his squad for his first season of Premiership management and veteran Cole may be a useful figure to have around.

The former United front-man has Premiership experience in abundance, having played for six clubs in the top flight and ten in total.

The Sunderland boss knows Cole’s talent from when the pair were pivotal member in the 1999 treble winning United side.

A close friend of the striker told the News of The World: “Andrew is quite surprised by Roy’s interest but he didn’t have to think too long about making a decision.

“He thinks Sunderland are going places.”

The paper has speculated that Cole will sign a one-year deal worth £32,000 a week with the possibility of adding a further twelve months if the striker impresses.

This is ah real crap move, Sunderland moving real desperate!!

This move shows that Sunderland is not having the kind of success in the transfer window as they would like!!

Andy Cole?

Anyways, stranger things i have seen done and come off good so i guess we will see.

ah love it!!

allyuh dont think.... nah it can't be.. ah wonder if Roy Keane....  nah.. there is no way Roy trying to re-unite the 2 most prolific striker-duo  in de history of de Red Devils and possible de Premiership?  He wouldn't, he couldn't, It would be kinda a nice to see but boy what a risk... Roy Keane ballz bigger dan a Calabash. Where does this leave Stern... I think still as de best option for a supersub to bail Trinderland out as Stern has for TnT so many times. Heartache from stern.. yes but dont forget de part about de victory because he is still 68 in 99...  Long Live Stern "hurt yuh heart" "Win de game" John.

buh wah de ass, like Roy changing sunderland into ole reds united. he might even call lalas and ask to get becks on loan for de season, hell he might even lace up he boots an run back on as well. Cole and Yorke playing together again.

the COLE/YORKE combi may not bear the same fruit as per the treble year especially if Dwight in the midfield now. Look like Roy drawing on all his MANU buddies, so yuh know the next logical step is to bring back the BECKS from Galaxy
