And from where I was sitting it look like our goal shoulda been allowed.  The man who actually trap the ball from the cross didn't look offside at all but the rest of them were but they weren't around the ball.

Anyway u take it both of us got a goal called back.  Can't say I cud complain much about the ref even though I was well cussing him.

I know them fellahs in front the goal was offside but the man who actually get the ball when it come across didn't look offisde to me.

Anybody else notice of late these linesmen does take 5 mins to put up their flag?  I think they is wait till the offisde player touch the ball before they put up the flag so is be real delayed.  I not talking about the goal but when Jones get call offside on the left they take real real long to blow.

The Jones play was not a penalty, it was close but the defender played the ball first.  If Jones was one step faster he might have got there first.  And if Stern was there he would have been nowhere near the ball or defender.

from the tv replays our goal was definitely offside and theirs wasn't.  The man who trap the ball from the cross was marginally offside and there were two others much more offside that may or may not have been considered to be interfering with the play.  But all 3 were offside.

Also that is the new rule where the linesman waits until the player touches the ball before flag goes up.  If he doesn't touch the ball and turns around and runs back and doesn't interfere with play they don't bother blowing the whistle.
