Here is a report from the Trinidad Express:

Germans rule Tobago Classic

The Germans ruled Stage Five of the Tobago International Cycling Classic Division I to sweep the top four spots on the final day of racing, as well as in overall competition, yesterday.

Top Trinidad and Tobago rider Emile Abraham finished 12th in yesterday's stage and was the only local cyclist in the top ten overall, in ninth place.

The Tobago-born Pan Am bronze medal winner--riding for Team Angostura--found tough competition among the Germans, who had six finishers in the top eight.

The overall winner was Andreas Henig of Team Atlas Romas, despite finishing in second place, more than four minutes behind countryman Erik Mohs (Team Sachsen Saxony) in Stage Five.

Henig's teammate Nico Scheider enjoyed third place in both the final stage and the final standings, followed in both by another German Axel Hauschke (Team Sachsen Saxony).

Of the top 20 cyclists, 11 were Germans.

Guy Costa (Ramfon Mecalfab, 14th overall) and O'Neil Samuels (Team Trek, 16th overall) finished 18th and 19th, respectively, yesterday for T&T's best efforts outside of Abraham.
