Marseille giving Liverpool fits...especially their midfielder #6, Ziani.  Liverpool lucky to still be even 0-0 at the half...Marseille score on a rebound off a left-to-right cross but pardna who take the initial shot was fractionally offsides and the put back didn't count.

Good match...despite being the road team and the underdog Marseille taking it to them...4-0 on the offsides calls so far, testament to how aggressive they're playing.

Lazio pulls even with Madrid at the half..1-1....van Nistelrooy scoring early for Madrid.

Also at the half...Chelsea gets an OG from Valencia to pull even after falling behind 1-0 in the 9'.  Tied at the half.

Liverpool v. Marseille on ESPN2 right now...in the 76' still nil-nil

The Lazio v. Madrid will be replayed on ESPN Classic at 5 pm they say.

Word to the wise...ESPN2 always carry the UEFA games, especially those featuring the English teams...the ManU game was on yesterday.

As I type....Marseille goes ahead in the 77'

1-0 Marseille.

...beautiful 25-meter strike by Valbuena...curling and dipping...clipping the underside of the crossbar out of Pepe Reina's reach.

what the f**k was that? liverpool was far less than their class. Reina stepped up big or we woulda been at 0-3 down.   hey bake-n-shark check out our NY chapter forum at www.lfcny.org/forum all LFC all the time. would love to get your comments on there.

What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy? You must be the change you want to see in the world.

rafa the rotator in allyuh skin...

i understand the logic behind that policy but the spine of the team (2 centre backs, 2 centre mids, 2 forwards) should never be rotated..

and i realize rafa does real favor he spanish boys...

arbeloa, aurelio does get real sweat.. i still vex he cost me nuff fantasy league points on finnan.
