Unifiers one three point adrift

Wednesday, October 31 2007

CHARLOTTEVILLE UNIFIERS closed to within three points of long time Tobago Football Association Premier League leaders Stokely Vale with a 6-1 pounding of Pepsi Hills in the race for the title.

Unifiers got an early goal from Kevon Martin who doubled up later in Friday’s match.

Keon McKenzie, Damian McKenna, Akeilon Murphy and Dwayne Murray added one goal each while Kareem Campbell got the consolation.

The victory pushed Unifiers to 43 points, three back of The Vale who have played one match more then the Charlotteville team.

Also on Friday, Georgia and Mega Brite Bethel United drew 0- 0.

On Sunday, Sideys added to Mason Hall Police Youth Club woes and their possibility of being demoted when they eked out a 1-0 victory on Rayan Gray’s goal.

And Earlbrokes edged away from the “drop zone” with a 2-0 shut out of NLCB Mt Grace United.

Brindsley Reid and Deon Thomas scored one goal each for the winners.

Meanwhile, Golden Lane continued their push for promotion after winning their latest match to move two points clear of second placed Classic Tours Goodwood United in the Big 6.
