The weekly round up.
By: DR.

Friday, 2 November, 2007 - Charlotteville Unifiers gained some ground in their pursuit of Stokely Vale by defeating them in the head to head match-up on the last matchday. Stokely Vale, however, would be trying to avoid further slip-ups as the title race enters its final stages. At the other end of the table, the bottom three are becoming clearer, with Georgia F.C. succumbing to heavy defeats.

Matchdays #8

*  Georgia F.C. bounced back, holding Bethel United to a 0-0 draw. Georgia can still hope to pull themselves away from the bottom, but they must continue to pick up points.
*  Charlotteville Unifiers continued their unbeaten run in the second round of the League competition with a 6-1 pounding of Pepsi Hills United. Unifiers got goals from Keon McKenzie, Akeilon Murphy, Duane "Figo" Murray, Damion McKenna and a brace from Kevon "Showtime" Martin. Kareem Campbell got the consolation item for Hills United.
*  A Deon Thomas double gave Earlbrokes a much needed 2-0 victory over the Struggling Mt. Grace United.
*  Sidey's edged table-proppers Mason Hall P.Y.C. by the slim 1-0 margin. A Ryan Gray goal settled the issue.
*  Roxborough Lakers v St. Clair's Coaching School, and Castara Goal City v Stokely Vale games were postponed because of scheduling conflicts with the National FA Cup competition first round.

Matchdays #9

*  Sidey's rounded out a successful week scoring a convincing 3-0 win over Mt. Grace United. A brace by Carrion Bishop and a Ryan Gray strike secured the points for Sidey's.
*  Earlbrokes scored an emphatic 7-2 win over Georgia F.C.. Braces from Deon Thomas and Tyrone Manning, along with goals from Nolan Orr, Brindsley Reid and Brian Martin led the way for the victors. Georgia F.C's goals came from Kerron Phillips and Elroy Phillips.
*  Mason Hall P.Y.C. lost yet again, this time to Roxborough Lakers. Dyke Reid scored a double, with Affiba McKenna adding another for the Lakers.
*  Charlotteville Unifiers continued their ruthless demolition of all-comers, whipping the Bethel United outfit by a 4-1 scoreline. Kevern Murphy, Kevon "Showtime" Martin, Kervin McKenna and Cha Burris getting on the score sheet for Unifiers, while Downie Marcelle got the sole item for Bethel.
*  Castara Goal City rebounded with a 5-2 whipping of Pepsi Hills United. A Kasron Quashie brace along with goals from Kayode Legall, Kenyon Manswell and Jesse Herry accounted for the Goal City scoring. Hills United got one apiece from Donald Wills and Kareem Campbell.
*  Stokely Vale were held to a 1-1 draw by St. Clair's Coaching School. Keno Kerr scored for Vale, while Keon Price got Coaching School's goal.

The excitement is building in the title race as Charlotteville Unifiers continue their relentless pursuit of defending champions and season-long League leaders - Stokely Vale. Unifiers chances of success lay firmly in their own hands, and with Vale showing signs of buckling, the championship race is heading for an exciting finish.
