Iniesta, Xavi and Fabregas
« on: November 21, 2007, 01:35:58 PM »
..all three started for Spain today against N. Ireland. There was a thread discussing the ability of Fabregas the other day and a side discussion broke out comparing him to Xavi and Iniesta. They are in fact, 3 different players and this game ..although only one, shows their relative abilities and compatability. They all look like class, sublime touches, low center of gravity. Iniesta is playing out on the right to accomodate Fabregas who is playing slighlty advance of Xavi, who is the holding midfielder...everything is coming through him. Marcos Senna doing the dirty work, but of course is full of good touches too. David Silva out on the left. Great midfield..Would love to see this work and for Spain to stick with it thru Euro 2008. Have only watched parts of the first half and Xavi and Iniesta getting the most touches so far..they play together and may even be looking for each other a bit. Fabregas was asserting more and more authority as the game wore on. Good watch for the fans of attractive, technical football  ;D

Ohhh..and related to another thread..Reina in goal

For real.

Big brother vs Lil brother kind of game.

Iniesta score a nice goal in Sat's game.

Spain, as usual has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to midfielders and has qualified for Euro which is never really the problem.

The problem arises when is time to perform on the big stage then is a steaming pile of sh!t.

Speaking as a closet Spain fan I hope they do well this Euro they have a nice combination of youth and experience and once Torres find a proper run of form before Euro next year is pace.

And I know Real fans go flame meh but is time Raul take a seat for Spain.

Més que un club.
