Balo say if Madrid overhauls the deficit and makes it to the final, de whole of Madrid squad can sleep with his gyul. (Up to press time, there's been no indication as to how she feels about the statement ... or, perhaps more importantly, whether she's still his gyul).

Hmmmm.

... Forgot to mention, he scored from the spot v. Catania. He's developing a reputation as one of the best penalty kickers around.

Several comments referred to him as the best. That's not just technique. It's also mental application.

Well that's your opinion.  The keeper was staring at the shot the entire way yet didn't even make a move until very late.  By then the ball was already past him.  Not his fault I suppose... maybe it was the cement shoes and the sedatives in his system.

I think you're a tiny bit harsh (not 100% disagreeing) - you'd need a keeper with more experience and skill not to be fazed with such a shot.

It dipped cruelly. Thats what made the difference.

It dipped... it didn't swerve.  The dip of the ball doesn't explain why he didn't react to the flight of the ball despite watching it the entire way.  Not saying he absolutely at fault because he didn't stop it... I'm saying he's partially at fault for not being in better position to make a play on the ball.

Nothing the keeper could have done in the position he started in. He saw it all the way. The the first thing that got him was the balls Balotelli had to hit from that distance and from that angle. Secondly that ball was moving, you see how that hit the net like is a big stone.

A goalkeeper would have had to be on his line and cheating back post (which would left the first post open) to attempt to get a hand on that.

Quality is quality.

Scheeupss hear nah allyuh forget that Balo does string up keeper...WITH 5 man wall and thing?   Nothing that keeper could do.  Ball look like it going up up then wicked dip.  It's like he's not even in the goal anymore.

Dip is very effective.
Before it dips it looks like it will go too high. By the time the keeper sees it dropping it's too late.
Plus the way he hit the ball the keeper probably figured it was hit with the outside of the boot and would swerve back to the right.
Iz only a split second he had to figure out the flight anyway.
And it might have swerved, none of the angles I saw were good for seeing that.

Thankfully....I've been a goalkeeper before and fortunately and/or unfortunately, I've had to face shots like that and believe me.....it would have taken an incredibly quick adjustment on recognizing the flight of the ball to even take the extra step needed to attempt to get his top hand to the ball.
