critiano is a horrible name...try cristiano instead

Whatever you do, do it to the purpose; do it thoroughly, not superficially. Go to the bottom of things. Any thing half done, or half known, is in my mind, neither done nor known at all. Nay, worse, for it often misleads.

my vote is for ashley cole as d best playa. who else can play on deh wife and then have her say she want to have his baby?

For best footballer this year not last year but this year I say CR7, because he has taken it up a notch and he been scoring in all competitions. But this question is better asked at the end of the season!

27 goals? From midfield? In January?  :o

I HATE his greasy Portuguese face and that damn Cantona-esque face he pulls after a free kick, but I have to admit that he's the best in the world.

Question is if he can maintain it for seasons to come... :beermug:

Also is between Robinho and C Ronaldo for best player right now....

Both ah dem kinda unstoppable right now... and who say no to Robinho ent been following the spanish league at all..

Omardinho laugh at de Robinho choice and den list out the exact reasons why Robinho SHOULD be considered... [/b]

come nuh man..

robinho having his best season to date yes, but is a far, far, far, far, far stretch to put the "best player in the world" mantle on him at this moment... what is he doing that is any different to what CR7 has done for the past few seasons and what messi has been doing up until recently??

Lewwe see wha play off in de champs league this year and revisit this nuh..

How many games yuh watch Robinho play last season (and this season) ?

Robinho had a big season last year too...and he dominated the Copa America up until the final... I eh saying that he's the best in the world, but I'm pretty sure that if C. Ronaldo played in Spain, he wouldn't get half the attention on this forum that he gets now....

Best player in the world is Iker Casillas-  He won the Spanish primera for Madrid last season, and he's the reason Madrid is 9 points clear in the league.

kicker, i've seen a few Real madrid games this season..

is robinho the best player on his team?? ummm... maybe, maybe not.. ruud, sneijder, guti are all having impressive seasons..

has robinho given me any memorable big game performances... ummm no, not really...

is robinho more indispensable than a Kaka, Messi, Cristiano, Drogba (why is his name not in this poll) or Zlatan??  NO, NO, NO!!

anyway like i said.. the best time for this discussion is at the critical phase of the season.. not now when certain men hogging de glory by constantly boring dem shitty EPL sides..

lets wait for the latter stages of the champions league and see who steps up like Kaka did last year..

Kenwyne Jones is arguably more indispensable for his team than Robinho- doesn't mean he's better.

Like I said, I'm not necessarily a protagonist for Robinho as the world's best player... and based on what I've seen this season, Kaka hasn't really been memorable in BIG games as you put it either. C Ronaldo is red hot, no denying that- some would say he's virtually unstoppable in his league..... and opinions & arguments aside he's currently fully deserved of his rating....my point however was that those laughing at claims of Robinho being the world's best are most likely not juding him off the same level and depth of coverage & marketing hype that is showered on the EPL stars- which ultimately taints the quality of this discussion. If you re-read my post carefully, you'll realize that your rant in response to my post was unnecessary and barely responded to my point except by saying that you've seen a few Madrid games.

and i'm hoping you ent fass enough to believe that my dismissal of Robinho was founded upon any hype surrounding the EPL stars??

don't you see me pouring cold water over the claims for C. Ronaldo?? Did i not just allude to him scoring ah setta goal on some shitty EPL teams? Did I not vouch for Kaka and give my reasonings above?

Look eh.. in the last three days, I have watched 3 EPL games, 3 Spanish games, 1 Argentinian, an extended german league highlights show and some south american game between Nacional v Penarol.. The EPL brand of football is at the very bottom of the rung.

I just finish watch Phil Neville voom kicking the ball and pelting he frame at every opportunity against Tottenham.. wing backs just hoof it up the line at the first opportunity.. I then switch the channel to see Kun Aguero taking it to the Valencia defence.. Defenders interested in playing football and creativity in abundance.. (Mind you Everton v Spurs in England = Atletico Mad v Valencia in Spain).  Not to mention the quality of football I witnessed from a mid table Argentinian side against Boca juniors.. Or the high quality of the german league.. endless touches..

So I assure you my judgements are never tainted by hype.

My opinion is that Robinho is not yet up there in discussion with respect to being the best player in the world.. You disagree well that is your position and you entitled just leave it as such..

this post is a rant.. not the last!
