mano looking to save his job...allyuh feel dinho could be effective in 2014?
i think he could be effective man..yorke was effective for us in 2006...give him ah bligh man....honestly he really deserve he call up...he took all his criticism from the media and others...and went out and play to earn he pick...and honestly the mighty brazil is lacking creativity....and he may not be as dynamic as before...however i think he could offer spark....this might just resurect his career...This guy is a joy to watch play football....

good point but remember brazil trying to win a world cup, we were trying not to get bad licks.  doh forget yorke is ah fitness junkie, we know dinho dont know waht that mean.

right now he on fire but lets see how long he keeps it up.  3 years is a long time.  brazil need his creativity for sure until ganso get some european experience.

Yes. This is a good, and even measured, decision that has little downside in the short term. The medium-term in this case is probably not defined beyond the qualifying rounds that precede Christmas.

He was good on dead balls, and long balls when given time - other than that he was pretty bad.  His game has gotten very limited - not feeling it

he is definitely not the same ronaldinho and i actually wish mano move on from him as he prepares for 2014.  the sad thing is none of the creative players looked as good as him since mano took over. ganso looked good in small spurts.  brazil has a lot of problems to address in the next 3 years.  hopefully they will get it right.

Mano doesn't have it and 'dinho can't do it on that level anymore. Brazil has to go bold and make a play for Guardiola to leave Barca at the end of this season. Tiki-Taka samba.

brazil will never hire a non brazilian to coach their national team.  they need to hire either scolari or muricy ramalho.

Probably not, but it would be a spectacle. Not sure about Scolari. Ramalho would be an interesting choice especially if Neymar is a featured player.

Dinho is MIA at the moment. Costa Rica is determined not to be in total awe of Brazil. Brazil is lacking something.

Paulo Wanchope is the assistant coach for CRC ... allyuh should see how kids were chasing the team bus when Brazil left the Marriott and ppl lined the streets en route to the stadium. Brazil is truly the team of the ppl ... even this squad that is in transition. Ronaldinho and Neymar were the last to get off the bus ... seemed so by design. When the Tico bus arrived at the stadium the interest paled to the interest when Brazil pulled up minutes later.

Mexico is scouting this game because they will face both opponents shortly ... Brazil in a few days. That game will be in Torreon. I considered making the flex ... but dais de same stadium de bad boys and dem shot up a few weeks back during a league game. Too much of a logistical nightmare. I eh able.

Too many people expect to see the Ronny of old. He is no longer that type of player. However, he is turned himself into a player who can orchestrate the Brazilian attack with his pin point passes. He is developing a very good relationship with Neymar and last night he showed why Mano still believes in him

Yeah he played well against Mexico - I think Mexico played into his hands by giving him alot of room, but yeah he had a good game.

Good point nnyman18 - Would still like to see a little more impact play from him though... still too casual for modern day competitive football in my opinion.  He will be a lot less effective against more robust physical teams that close down quickly...which are pretty much all the real quality sides....

Yuh can't pay that guy enough to put in a tackle.

Sad ting is in the Brazilian league he playin the same slow pace. International sides will mash him up. I saw him dominate against lower level competition in the Serie A,  but was left wanting in against all the top tier teams.

Wuz real bother me is how hard it could be to go to some performance center in the US and work on some speed and quickness? A six week camp would do the world of difference as just a inch of extra speed will revolutionize his game again.
Nothing pisses me off more than racism, and ppl who you know that act like they don't know you.

Ronaldinho Video Leaked

Intimate Ronaldinho webcam video leaked

A video has emerged on the internet of Ronaldinho 'rewarding himself' in front of a webcam and has become a top talking point in Brazil within hours.

Manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo would not be drawn on the issue, insisting that he 'had nothing to do with it.'

"This is a particular problem for Ronaldinho. I can not control what is on my player's computers," said the coach, to much laughter from the gathered press ranks.

"The only thing I can do is get out of the way before this .... blows," finished Luxemburgo to even more laughter.  :rotfl: :rotfl:

For all the light-hearted joking of Luxemburgo, the video has no doubt caused much embarrasment for both Ronaldinho and Flamengo at a time when results are not at their best.

Ronaldinho loses Coke deal for drinking Pepsi

Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho loses lucrative Coca-Cola sponsorship deal ... for sipping a Pepsi

Ronaldinho just couldn't resist the Pepsi Challenge.

On Monday, soft-drink kingpin Coca-Cola terminated its lucrative sponsorship deal with the man who was once considered the best soccer player in the world. The soda giant was enraged that the 32-year-old Brazilian took a sip from a can of archrival Pepsi at a recent news conference hyping a game with Atletico Mineiro, a club in Ronaldinho's homeland which he joined in early June.

Two cans of Pepsi were right in front of the midfielder at the news conference, and the former Barcelona superstar couldn't wait to quench his thirst.

The two-time FIFA World Player of the Year was earning $750,000 a year from the endorsement deal. But his cardinal sin ends the relationship that was set to run until 2014.

"Donovan was excellent. We knew he was a good player, but he really didn't do anything wrong in the whole game and made it difficult for us."

Ronaldinho arrested in Paraguay after fake passport claims.
Goal.com.

Brazilian legend Ronaldinho has been arrested in Paraguay for allegedly using false documentation to enter the South American country.

The 39-year-old, who won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002, was detained in the Resort Yacht & Golf Club Paraguayo along with his brother Roberto on Wednesday night, the Ministry of Interior of Paraguay said.

According to La Nacion, passports were found in the hotel bearing the names of Ronaldinho and Roberto with Paraguayan nationality.

Both the brothers remain in the hotel suite with Paraguayan authorities set to issue a statement on Thursday morning.

An official statement from the Paraguayan police said Ronaldinho and his entourage had been invited to Paraguay by casino owner Nelson Belotti.

The Brazil international was expected to hold several publicity events with the media invited to witness his interaction with fans and dignitaries.

Ronaldinho is currently without a Brazilian passport because of an environmental fine he received in 2018.

The former Barcelona star and his brother were convicted of illegally building a fishing trap at Lake Guaiba in 2015 without proper licensing in a permanent preservation area.

That conviction saw the duo handed an $8.5 million fine in November 2018 and after failing to pay up, Brazil's Superior Court of Justice decided to stop Ronaldinho from being able to leave the country.

Despite being unable to leave Brazil, Ronaldinho was unveiled as one of the country's new ambassadors for tourism in September last year.

Literally stranded in his homeland, the former AC Milan star said at the time that he was trying to make the most of his limbo after accepting a role to promote Brazil's tourism.

"Tourism is very important for generating jobs and regaining our image internationally," Ronaldinho said at his unveiling as an ambassador.

Ronaldinho led a distinguished playing career across South America and Europe - winning the Champions League, La Liga, Serie A and Copa Libertadores.

He also clinched a plethora of individual honours including the 2005 Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.

The Porto-Alegre born forward lifted the Jules Rimet trophy in South Korea and Japan in 2002 and won the Copa America with his nation in 1999.

The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.
