Ross County today signed former Trinidad & Tobago internationalist Brent Sancho on an 18 month contract.

Well accoring to the official County website "Trinidad and Tobago World Cup star Brent Sancho has joined Ross County until the end of the season. The 31 year old central defender, who played in all 3 of the Soca Warriors games at the 2006 World Cup, signed this week having impressed in two trial periods at Victoria Park and following receipt of International clearance. He will be a valuable addition to the squad during the run in, bringing a wealth of experience both North and South of the border as well as becoming the first Ross County player ever to have featured in a World Cup.
The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

So that is what, a 2-month contract?
Once he get fit they will want to keep him after that.

I found it suspect that they would offer him such a long contract seeing how long he's been away, but on the other hand, it made sense seeing how many games are left and how long he is going to take to get back his match fitness.

Now I'm just confused. Anyhow. Whatever it is just make the best of it, Lion.

Sancho recruited by Ross County

Quote
Former Trinidad and Tobago defender Brent Sancho has received international clearance to join Ross County until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old former Dundee player impressed on trial with the newly-crowned Division Two champions.

Sancho, who played in the 2006 World Cup finals, has been without a club since leaving Millwall in January.

He started his career with Joe Public then spent two years with Dundee before leaving for Gillingham in 2005.

Sancho was released by Gilligham in December before spending a month with fellow League One strugglers Millwall but has been without a club since January.

He retired from international football following the World Cup campaign.

Same damn thing again. I suppose we can't vex with WF when he get his information wrong if the professionals of information don't have a clue about the truth... ::)

Adams has still to decide if he will be offering new terms to former Dundee United striker David Winters and ex-Dundee defender Brent Sancho.

Winters' short-term deal expires next month while Trinidad and Tobago international Sancho has travelled to London for court proceedings in the saga over unpaid World Cup appearance bonuses by his national FA. Adams said: "Brent's fitness has been an issue, although we always knew that would be the case when he came here.

"That is always sortable but both he and the club still have to decide what we want to do.

"But with the court action in London there is plenty to occupy him for now."

From Andy Barrowman won't rule out snubbing Inverness to stay at Ross County
