It is always with disdain and resentment when I hear how quickly some citizens from North America refer to some nations as Third world countries. This stigma of being from a third world or developing nation conjectures images not unlike what were prevalent from New Orleans during the past week.
Does it make you wonder:
Who is the first world? second? third and so forth?
When does a developing nation become a developed one?
That so called 'third world' conditions are a result of context and circumstances (much like New Orleans)
That what we are witnessing in the USA today mirrors many of the same conditions which exist in countries with lesser economic and technologic adnavcements than the USA.
ummm.. I does wonder why people who live in 'glass houses does always throw stones?'
