Other Important Sept.7th games
« on: September 06, 2005, 08:31:31 PM »
besides our own game against Costa Rica there are some make or break games for other countries in their bid to qualify...next year in Germany we bound to see some unknown quantities in action..example our very own sweet T&T  :wavetowel:

the big one is Rep. of Ireland vs France...i like Ireland at home for this one but France might come back and draw.
Spain vs Serbia..i is a Spanish so yuh know who i backing deh.
Ukraine vs Turkey...i going with Ukraine here.
Denmark vs Georgia...Denmark fuh sure.
Russia vs Portugal...Draw.
Latvia vs Slovakia...Slovakia.
Norway vs Scotland...too unpredictable..might be a draw
Italy vs Belarus...Italy fuh sure.
Poland vs Wales...Wales with ah upset.
Northern Ireland vs England...england by at least 3 if they play 4-4-2.
Hungary vs Sweden....Sweden defintely.

an de next big one that have implications for we
Guatemala vs USA..is ah must...USA have to win.

I hope Sven back broad because he is in for real pressure. NI collect they first competitive win in four wins against the Azeri and now England.

Looks like Wales might help them out against Poland.

Sven job safe. They paying him too much money and they have no obvious candidate to succeed him. The tabloids will have a time with this result though.

One thing though. Hopefully it put to rest the minor debate about how good Lampard and Gerrard are. The fact that they don't play well together on the international scene shows their limitations. They are not on the level as Nedved, Davids, Keane (in his prime), Vieira as all around midfielders. Both of them need a man behind them to anchor to be effective.

I think the problem is trying to play beckham, lampard and Gerrard as a trio in the middle of the park. Beckham is a liability and Gerrard is limited as a midfielder, he probabbly at his best out wide. just watch how he played when he moved to wide left against Milan.

Not REALLY important, but...

Germany beat South Africa 4:2 tonight in a friendly game

3 Goals by Lukas Podolski, my favorite player, earning his money at Cologne. He is only 20 years old, so he has a big future. He made also one assist tonight, so he got 4 scorer points...YEAH.

 :beermug:
Hopefully we will see you Trinis next year over here in Germany. Do your best!

It will be a big party...
