fallout of Spanish and English league 's success
« on: June 10, 2008, 10:23:00 AM »
from as long as i have known the Spanish and English international teams have always flattered to deceive. they are respect on the international scene but have nothing tangible to really show. Is the success of la liga and the epl  the reason for  the poor performance of these international teams? Or has the  high quality of these leagues given us ,the world public, a false belief that these teams are better that they actually are?

whats the reason that the English and Spanish keep failing time and time again at international tournaments?
seek ye 1st the kingdom of God & his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you

Quality of club footabll does not necessarily correlate with National team pleam.  A couple of reasons: best players may not be from the club countries (easy) but more importantly the Country's style of play may not be the same as the style of play as the clubs (different coaching philosophies).

and there it is

While Spain has underachieved in major tournaments they have made the tournament, which is more than we can say for England in more than one instance. And yes, England has won a WC albeit in their own country which is their only claim and something they quickly refer to when they talk about the current England side.

Spain jes seems to lack that ability to finish off teams when it comes to the later half of a tournament. If they play the whole Euro like they play today they will be in good shape.
