... Pirlo skin out several men well today ... effortlessly ... and had his portion of passes to carve out chances on goal. Some months ago, I commented without elaborating (I believe in response to a comment by FF) regarding (abstract) possession being overrated ... @ the end of the day, creating chances is where I put my money.

The final is a fitting rematch.  Italy are the only team that Spain could not beat.   Italy played the beautiful game today, I hope they beat boring Spain.

Wait, Italy are also the only side to score on Spain.
