abate   barzagli  bonnucci  chiellini

    marchisio  pirlo  de rossi

          montolivio

      cassano   balotelli


more defensive solidity than with balzaretti who might be better than chiellini going forward obviously but against germany might be a liability defensively

okay..according to RAI...balzaretti right back instead of abate....thats a curious one...so the predictability of an abate down the right flank swinging the ball in with his right is replaced with the unpredictability of the predominantly left footed balzaretti on the right cutting into midfield....prandelli plannin somethin...

edit: abate isnt matchfit and maggio is suspended
