Didn't realize Iceland pop was so low

Cristiano Ronaldo Twitter followers: 43,100,000

Iceland population: 330,000

Iceland right now is a good example for other countries with small populations who use their pop size as an excuse for not being competitive at top levels. For them to even qualify for the Euro is an accomplishment by itself.

The host nation showed up late against Albania, but they will have to do better to win the Championship. I expect them to find their best stroke as the tournament continue.

I still have them or Germany winning the entire ting eh

England enjoyed a win but I was hoping Wales would hold on. Sturridge is a baller once he not injured.

Poland held their own against Germany.
That game was tight.

Hamsik serious dis rongs.

Sweden had few chances and played too laid back, no intensity. Italy eventually scored, good win for Italia

that was so stupid of their fans they almost lost it for their team.... there is a burgeoning Eastern European mentality of hooliganism towards the game

Viewing Slaven Bilic on ITV speaking about the context behind the supporter unrest. He tongue-in cheek said as a result of constant fines, "we are UEFA's biggest sponsors".

A segment of the fans is against the Croatian federation and have a long history of disrupting proceedings. The rivalry and different fortunes surrounding the relationship between Dinamo Zagreb (north of country) and Hajduk Split (from the south) were cited as contributing factors.

Have you see the "vice" piece on Hajduk Split vs Dinamo Zagreb (not the 5 min clip on Youtube..one on Vice TV)

Speaking of throwing ...Keane was stoic after BEL's second, kinda impassive. Handling himself well.

This Hungary side beat somebody? They making some amateur mistakes.

I suppose is a sign if your keeper looking like he pull together his uniform from stuff he had in the trunk of his car.

Don't let Cristiano take free kicks. The penalty I doh mind usually he will score that, but the free kicks man.

Now he stand up bold faced offside and surprised when it get called.  Cristiano killin his team today.

He didn't create chances for anyone. Near the end the box packed and he want to shoot from outside into a crowd.
He take all the chances, created none and missed all. Well done yuh babyish twat.

He's a throwback indeed. He's been wearing them for sometime now. Used to wear black but after he wore grey one day they went 9-0.
Comfort over style for him. Eccentricity mindset of the goalkeeper. Not an easy position.
