There were already riots earlier. Now they'll start for real.

That's what they get for copying Iceland's viking chant.
Portugal really raised their game today. Are they the smallest country to win it?
I know they have small population.
Big achievement

The most glaring statement is Pogba was playing a more defensive role which to me was more than odd actually watching it and realizing he wasn't the key for the offense, I'm glad espn spoke about it...I guess the book makers like him at def mid  ;)

"There are some things it would just be better not to put to the vote. I’m not disappointed that my goal was not elected. But everyone knows that my goal was the most beautiful. Perhaps all Hungarians have voted.”  --- Xherdan Shaqiri (Switzerland) unimpressed that Zoltan Gera’s effort for Hungary against Portugal was voted as the best goal of UEFA EURO 2016.

I like the post! I feel like the Euro 1st rounds need to shake out before people start to comment. Same with Copa -- seems like the gulf is really wide this year: there are 2 teams ... then the rest.

This Euros has been kinda dead.
Croatia now manage to turn up the heat in their last group game.  Their midfield is old but they are some ballers. If only they had a good striker.
I was disappointed by the Portuguese midfield performance vs Germany.  They have players in form but Germany had them spinning.
France and and moreso England have underwhelmed so far.  I want to see Italy and Netherlands play a good team.  I like Italy's front line, Insigne, Immobile, Berardi/Belotti can do some damage.
