Moment of the match: Ramires came on to a standing ovation late on thanks to his heroics in Barca...and the previously unheralded player was serenaded to the tune of Guantanamera with "song for Ramires, we need a song for Ramires"  :rotfl:
:rotfl: That's the song right right there, you guys don't need to make up anything else :rotfl:

They are a fantastic combo, Ba (and Ben Arfa) work tirelessly to get Cisse good chances. Newcastle deserved to beat us today and Cisse was definitely one of the best strikers to visit Stamford Bridge this season....he is lethal. I'd love to see Cisse at Chelsea.

Not really too bothered by the result, its all about the cup finals now, bring on Liverpool.

for real...in any case...ba's goals have dried up but b/c cisse rippin up that kinda deflecting the attention.  i guarantee that teams WILL enquire about his services this summer...is like every other goal he scores is a golazo!

Ba's goals have only dried up because he is not playing as a centre forward anymore. He is a support player for Cisse. He is not as talented as Cisse but he is still playing well.

kinda remind me of Tony Yeboah from some years back.  Damned near every goal that man scored was a golazo.  Them two strikes today were pure, pure friggin' magic and one can only tip yuh hat to them.  The first goal, yuh could berate the defenders for poor marking, but it was a beautiful goal all the same.  The second one?  man, there was absolutely NOTHING that anybody on that Chelsea team coulda done to stop it.  Great frggin' goal!!  :applause: :applause:

Chelsea didn't approach that game like a head to head battle for the CL spot, it look to me like them fellas was going through the motions or had an eye on the FA Cup final. Maybe them fellas just reaching the end of the tank now and looking to the Cup finals to see out the season, but was not impressed with the performance at all.

Cisse is rhell trouble yes.

All the games i see, the man have a way he does just swing he foot wild and is bullet on target. The first few goals he score i thought it was luck, cause sometimes the ball running across the goal hard and it look like he just pelt a foot behind it... Or sometimes he falling away at some weird angle and spin and swing a foot and is goal.

Before yesterday, i was saying that something about him remind me of a Van Nistelrooy.. Look like an average player until he get into the 18' yard box, then he just have a knack for scoring... But them 2 goals yesterday was simply out of this world, especially the 2nd. Demon!

Boom, first trophy of de season  ;D

Not a great performance today, but say what. I really didn't understand why Liverpool played into our hands for the first hour, giving us all the possession and allowing us to slow the game down to practically walking pace in first half. Some of our players have been running on fumes these last few games and had Liverpool come out with a high tempo from the start they could easily have worn us down over the course of the game *shrug*.

Now the players can have a couple of weeks off before Munich with the knowledge that the season hasn't been a total failure. Niceness.

Some of my pictures from today's game:
