FC Edmonton announced today that centre back Carlyle Mitchell will join the North American Soccer League (NASL) team on a season-long loan from Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

“We’re pleased to have Carlyle on board and expect that he’ll have plenty to offer our club on the backline,” said FCE technical director Joe Petrone.

“Carlyle is a young player with a lot of potential,” said Whitecaps FC head coach Martin Rennie. “FC Edmonton provides Carlyle a great opportunity to earn regular playing experience under a great coaching staff lead by Colin Miller.”
