meh good ole hometown...yesterday wasnt easy either. Real rain and wind with trees fall down across the road and all kinda drama. Floods weren't as bad as before obviously

I think it was a flash flood that just swamped the traffic - no time to react. It probably subsided relatively quickly too

This is the section of highway that dips under the overpass, or flyover or whatever you call it down there.

From what I heard 1/2 an hour rain and dat was d result cyah plan 4 dat

was more rain that that tho. The small drains (that we in trini like to call rivers for some reason) just couldnt deal with the amount of water. It rained for over an hour.
It is a chronic problem in Claxton  Bay. The drains by the cane fields dump the water into the larger drain/rivers and flood out the cane fields first. Once you see there is flooded yuh kno it is gonna be real bad inside. That was the first time i had seen so much water on the highway there tho. It had another mini flood on the highway sunday, inside was fairly bad as well.
They have also attempted to clean some of the drain/rivers. But in true trini style have put anything they took out of the river right on the banks/sides. So they will wash back in fairly quickly
