Thanks for the feedback, all.
Yes it is TI's music, used with his permission. It has its limits, but its a lot better than a lot of the stuff done by so called "professionals" in the aftermath of the 06 Warriors campaign - I particularly liked the "marching" beat because I think it really gives the effect of being on a mission and the integration of the "T&T we want a goal chant" is a great touch. Also unlike a lot of others songs I could vouch for the sincerity of the sentiment involved.
Be assured that steps have been taken for the guys to get a look at it. Whether they will or not is something else altogether; It deals with a relatively sensitive period in our footballing history and the politics would probably simply suggest that it just be swept under the rug. However, I don't believe that any kind of healing (and anyone who thinks the scars don't run deep needs a serious reality check) can be achieved without acknowledging what was, and the hard part was being able to make any reference to it without pointing (too many) fingers, making enemies of people who are supposed to work together, or apportioning blame.
It's a call for the necessity of recognising what was, and accepting the necessity to move on once this is done, by all parties involved, but particularly by those guys who need to get the business done on the field.
