WASA keep seven-point cushion.
T&T Newsday Reports.

WASA kept their seven-point lead over Joe Public, as they seek to retain their bmobile National Super League crown, following a 2-0 win over the lowly St Francois Nationals in Tuesday’s rescheduled Match Day 14 action.

At the WASA Ground in St Joseph, former Trinidad and Tobago forward Nigel “Croc” Pierre put WASA ahead in the 44th minute while Jerome Dickinson secured full points in the 55th.

Joe Public stayed in second position courtesy of a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Harlem Strikers at Frederick Settlement, Caroni. After former Joe Public midfielder Adrian Narine put Harlem in front after 35 minutes, Brent Antoine tied the scores two minutes later, while ex-national Under-20 forward Christopher Sam guaranteed the win for the “Eastern Lions” in the 50th.

Striker Trent Lougheed netted in the 16th and 59th minutes as the Trinidad and Tobago Under-20 squad whipped the wooden-spooners University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) 2-0, to remain third in the 13- team standings.

Fourth-placed ALCOA Carenage United were held to a 1-1 draw by Club Sando at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, courtesy of a last minute equaliser by ex-TT Under-17 defender Devon Bristol, after Adrian Marshall gave Carenage a 51st minute lead.

A pair of mid-table outfits, Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix and Defence Force, battled to a 2-2 draw at Canaan, Bon Accord.

Lejandro Williams’ ninth minute opener for Phoenix was cancelled out by Keseon Theodore in the 16th.

Dominique Kerr restored Phoenix’s lead on the stroke of half-time but Kerwin Coa equalised for the Army-Coast Guard combination in the 84th.

M&M Harvard scored three late items as they hammered fellow strugglers Crab Connection 4-1 at the San Juan Secondary Ground.

Micah Andrews netted for the “Crabs” after ten minutes but Kaleem Young tied the scores in the 20th. The game seemed to be destined for a draw before a trio of goals from Shatton Ollivierre (80th), Glen Walker (84th) and Christon Freitas (88th).

One rescheduled meeting will be staged today, with Phoenix hosting the “Crabs” at Bon Accord, while games on Match Day 15 will be contested on Monday.

sadly, daz d truth for the past 2yrs WASA should be playing PFL but we can't meet the criteria set out by the league so we will just continue to win the Super League every year kinda like LYON in France
