Carapichaima, Signal Hill win Intercol zonal crowns.
T&T Newsday Reports.

Carapichaima went on a second half splurge to whip Waterloo 4-0 at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva yesterday, and retain the RBTT Central Zone Intercol title.

The defending holders led 1-0 at the half-time interval on a 14th minute goal by Neil Woodroofe. But the holders had to withstand a determined effort to equalise by Waterloo who missed two gilt-edged chances to score.

After Woodroofe scored his and Carapichaima’s second in the 63rd, the fight was knocked out of the youthful Waterloo team. Phillip Wickham lashed in the first of his double in the 70th minute to increase the lead to 3-0. And in the 85th he made it very safe for Carapichaima when he knocked in his team’s fourth.

In the sister-isle Tobago, Signal Hill knocked off holders Scarborough 3-1 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet, to reclaim the zonal Intercol title. The “Hill Boys” fell behind as early as the 4th minute when Scarborough were awarded a penalty which Kersyl Vincent slotted in.

But Anderson Taylor got the equalising goal in the 17th minute and Simon Anton put Signal Hill in the lead with a 27th minute goal. Taylor got his second goal in the 50th minute to seal the victory for Signal Hill to give them the trophy.
The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

Signal Hill facing protest
Trinidad & Tobago Express

Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive are in danger of losing their RBTT InterCol Tobago Zone title because of the status of one of their players.

Secondary Schools Football League general secretary Azaad Khan confirmed yesterday that the disciplinary committee of the Tobago Zone will meet on Monday to discuss the eligibility of the Signal Hill player, who it is alleged is not registered.

Scarborough Secondary, playing under protest, were beaten 3-1 on Thursday by goals from Anderson Taylor, who got a double, and Simon Anton. There was no controversy in the Central Zone final, however, as

Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive defended their title, beating Waterloo High School 4-0 at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, also on Thursday.

"Caps" led 1-0 at the end of the first half courtesy of Neil Woodruff and, in the second half, Waterloo conceded further goals when Woodruff added another and Phillip Wickham scored a double.
The Conquering Lion of Judah shall break every chain.

Nah, nah remember in recent times Scarborough Sec has been taking the title too....either way is a win-win for me although in a contest between the two I'd support Signal Hill... :beermug:

this is a big revenge match from back in the day when I was in Form 2 ... I think that was 93/94.
Hill come down Skinner Park and knock us off in penalties in the Nat'l Semis that year.

If the game is being played in the 'bago, nothing will be sweeter that beating Hill in Tobago, then going for a dip in Store Bay, and then catching the flight home.
throw parties, not grenades.
