Rules question???

Fellas ah have a quick question.I ent want and go and check in no rules book.What is the legal number of players that you can start a match with.Is is 9 or 8???????? Quote me good on this one as I have a bet on with somebody.Thanks.

Law 3 – The Number of Players
A match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than eleven players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. A match may not start if either team consists of fewer than seven players.
