Pres Chaguanas tackle arch-rivals.
By: Forbes Persaud (Express).

Perennial champions Presentation College Chaguanas will go into action in the Central Zone of the BG T&T Secondary Schools Football League as the 2005 season gets underway at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva today.
But as Pres bid to start the season on a winning note they will have a tough battle on their hands when they oppose their arch-rivals Carapichaima Senior Comprehensive in today's clash. According to longstanding Pres head coach, Glenford Thomas, Carapichaima have always been their toughest opponents and he expects it to be no different as they aim to register a beaver-trick of wins in the Central Zone.
To compound matters, Thomas believes that with former Strike Squad coach Everard "Gally" Cummings at the helm of Carp's technical team, it is not going to be easy sailing for Pres. "Carapichaima have always been our major opposition and this year we again see them as our biggest threat. And the fact that they have 'Gally' with them this year we expect to have a tough time against them," stated Thomas.
But Thomas pointed out that his team have been in training since early July and will give a very good account of themselves.
He added that while he has lost some of his top players from last season there are some key members of his squad who he believes will steer his team to victory.
Marvin Manswell, Jesse Stewart, Trent Lougheed, Anthony County, Dwayne Nicome and Isiah Smith are the players Thomas noted that he will be banking on.
Today's game will get underway at 3 p.m., while the official opening ceremony will take place at 12.30 p.m. with a wave-past parade of teams. Preceding the Pres v Carps match, Marabella Junior Secondary will take on Chaguanas Junior Secondary in an under-14 fixture.

Yuh know what is kinda funny about Gally coaching this high school team?  The fact that if the players are 17 and 18 years old, they would have absolutely no recognition of the glorious Strike Squad days of 1988 -89.  They would have been 2 or 3 at best.

Good move by Gally getting into coaching at this level again, and at a school with a little less name recognition at that.

Notice Gally was at the Costa Rica game with the Clico VIP's.
