A very, very good friend of mine said to me about 3-4 years ago: "...the more rafa learn to speak english, is de more shit he does talk...." well boy......seems like that is was an unintended analogy/prediction of his managing skills.   :beermug:

That is a beautiful piece of skill. Unplayable because the defenders can't gamble on him choosng and executing that option.

Rafa good for cup format where yuh could lock up shop and score 1 and frustrate the opposition to death, or play tactically well in the home and away fixture format.

but if you serious about winning the league and you leading Wigan 1-0 in a must win game, then yuh need to leave yuh big guns out on the pitch until de result is assured.

Worse yet if the score is 1-1 then yuh supposed to do everything to get that result.. even if it mean playing with 2 in the back.. Thats what champions do!

But no yuh subbing yuh best player Gerrard and bringing on a cold Robbie Keane.

this team doh deserve to win nothing.

Sky Sports News sources understand Tottenham have enquired about Robbie Keane's availability at Liverpool.

Keane's future at Anfield has been the subject of intense speculation after he was left out of the squad for last weekend's FA Cup clash with Everton.

The Republic of Ireland international has endured a difficult time at Liverpool since his summer arrival from Tottenham struggling to establish himself in Rafa Benitez's plans.

Benitez has refused to confirm Keane's future and the player was only given a late run-out in Wednesday's draw with Wigan.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is thought to be in the market for a new striker and he has never hidden his admiration for Keane.

Sky Sports News sources claim Spurs have made an informal enquiry for Keane, but no bid has been tabled for the former Leeds ace.

Nothing will come of this except a little bit of gran'charging.

If the Reds can recoup some/ all of that money that they paid for Keane - I'm sure they're willing to call it even, because they could do with the money - just like the rest of teams.

Rafa should write to Rafa for unsettling Keane. Me thinks when he had surgery they removed the wrong set of stones!

I ent know what to say without running de coach down yes  :frustrated:
look at Villa against Wigan today, they were trying to win, therefore they made positive substitutions, even though they didn't score they had 2 wingers and 2 centre forwards on the blasted field.

Rafa need to leave that 4-2-3-1 for when we playing Europe big guns and against the other Top 3 Epl teams,
any other team we should be playing with at least 2 forwards.

Liverpool v Chelsea preview

Liverpool and Chelsea will be hoping to keep up the title pressure when they meet at Anfield on Sunday.
Both clubs trail league leaders Manchester United by two points, but with United able to stretch that advantage to five by Saturday evening, a defeat for Liverpool or Chelsea could be a major blow to their challenge.

Despite a strong first half to the season, Liverpool are currently experiencing their worst run of form of the campaign, having failed to record a league victory so far in 2009.

Chelsea, on the other hand, appear to be returning to form following their crippling 3-0 loss to United earlier in the month.

Two wins on the trot have seen the Blues' flagging campaign reignited, and a victory against Liverpool would undoubtedly send out a signal of intent to their title rivals.

However, Luiz Felipe Scolari's side will first have to overturn a dreadful record against the rest of last season's top four this season, having lost all three meetings to date.

Team news
Liverpool are likely to return to their strongest starting line-up after the midweek draw with Wigan, meaning that Xabi Alonso, Albert Riera and Dirk Kuyt should all be recalled.

Fernando Torres is almost certain to lead the line for the Reds, but fellow striker Robbie Keane may have to settle for a place on the bench once again.

Chelsea are unlikely to be changed from the side that defeated Middlesbrough on Wednesday, with two-goal hero Salomon Kalou continuing alongside Premier League top goalscorer Nicolas Anelka up front.

Deco may come in for Florent Malouda, but the Londoners are likely to look for continuity as they go in search of a vital win.

Possible starting XIs
Liverpool: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Aurelio, Kuyt, Alonso, Mascherano, Riera, Gerrard, Torres.

Chelsea
: Cech, Bosingwa, Alex, Terry, A Cole, Mikel, Ballack, Lampard, Malouda, Anelka, Kalou.

Looks like Keane is on his way out back to Spurs, or should I say being kicked out  :-\
Rafa finally admitted that he didn't buy Keane
Rafa I'm ashamed of how you treated this player, keep the players out of your beef with the management of the club
I hope we get back what we spent, i would gladly take Lennon, Huddlestone and Jenas or any combination with money.

Rafa is beyond a goat.

Since he open he cyat about Ferguson he ent win a game, 4 draws.

He want control of player valuations and he blame Parry for spending 20M on Keane because that only leave them with 14M for barry and Villa wanted more.

But if you look at Rafa transfer history would you trust him to value players.

  • Keane was never going to work in this Liverpool system and Rafa show that he can't get the side to play two forwards. He waaay too defensive minded for that.
  • Voronin, waste a money. Last one season
  • Crouch, spend big money then when yuh get Torres yuh realize Crouch can't suit your system.
  • Dossena, if ever there was a goat it is Dossena. Yuh spend 7M on a left back that slow as mud.
  • Pennant, just two years and he playing the same football as he was at Brum. Is not like his fickleness is a surprise.

He get lucky that Kuyt vindicate his move to the wing by working so hard but if you match Kuyt up against a true winger he can't keep up.

Then the selections.

Could somebody tell me why Agger can't even make the squad? yet he have no problem with the player.

He want to ship Alonso and every game the man play he either create or score a goal. To add insult he playing Leiva, a less Brazilian Brazilian I never see. Pure toots.

And every game Torres coming off and Benitez have no plan B. He winning game 1-0 and taking off Torres to bring on a set of defenders and shitsnakes like Ngog.
Juma ah agree with most of what yuh say there.
Agger has been injured for the last month or so, but still Rafa shoulda come out and say he ent want to sell him to Milan.
We problem is that left back spot, at least Arbeloa does still make it up the right wing, i ent know what to say bout Aurelio and Dossena, is best we have Skettel and Agger in the back and put Carragher in de left back, or maybe just play with 3 at the back.

Emiliano Insua is at the South American U-20 championships with Argentina, and quite frankly I don't know why. His extended run in the side over the Christmas season cemented him as our best left back in my opinion. I don't like Dossena at all, and Aurelio is ok going forward, but Insua is better and an overall better defender. The sooner Argentina get knocked out of that tournament, the better (Argentina play Brazil on Monday night)  :beermug:

If Tottenham swap Keane for Lennon they are out their minds....Firstly they have only Bentley as the next good wing option...O'Hara is a decent player but they will need 2 very good wingers to pull them out of the trouble they are in

If they swap...they will have to buy a winger...or at least loan in one
