Well I know if Maxi Rodriguez scores a hattrick (he has not lived up to his full potential since coming to Anfield), then I know that, brain fart last week aside, Kenny must be doing something right.

Dalglish is what made me become a Liverpool fan in the first place. Even though I was a youth (I eh dat old) I would never forget that great side with Barnes, Rush, Beardsley and McMahon. Dey used to play ah nice brand of football.Ah, the memories...

Preach, Kali.  The "feel good" atmosphere is back.  Once yuh see youths coming through the pipeline and playing like big men, yuh know something clicking.  Dat is what we used to do, buss big players: Owen,  McManaman, Fowler, Gerrard, Carragher...then it stopped.  Gotta give King Kenny the job.  I haven't seen a Liverpool team this hungry since I was a lil boy.

Supposedly Meireles voted by fans as POY for 'Pool.  Can't really argue against that... but Lucas woulda be neck and neck in the running for me.  He's still master of the errant pass at times... but he's such a tireless worker and always in the mix defensively.  He's stepped seamlessly into that defensively midfield role vacated by Mascherano, and helped hold that core together in Gerrard's absence.... and still only 24.

Add to that, Meireles was voted EPL Fan's Player of the Year.  That's all down to that scoring run he went on.  We definitely don't miss Mascherano.  Lucas has thrived since his departure.  I never imagined I would be uttering those words, but it speaks volume on how Lucas has developed as a player.

Surprised that Meireles get it over Chicharito to be honest... I think he's had a bigger impact, but no discounting what Meireles has meant to our resurgence either.  You also right about Lucas... I tired call he all kinda shithound under Rafa, but Kenny seems to have sparked something.  The steady play has been there since under Roy, but he's really a different player now.

ZionYouth... no doubt, Robinson and the two other youngsters in the back, Flanagan and Wilson (who out injured right now) have been revelations this season.

Loose the youth and dem, but protect dem too.  Kenny will make sure their confidence isn't shattered.  He'll protect them when he has to.

Making is look easy again.  Newcastle would hae been a mountain 1st half of the season.  Torres who?  I back Suarez a Caroll to fill that void.  Give Kenny the job!

Fantastic start by Liverpool v. Fulham... Maxi finally rounding into form for us 1-0 2'.

Funny thing is I was coming to post about Maxi and say it seems like he finally turning it around... that if he could continue helping us push for 4th he'll get back in my graces.  5 goals in 3 games... I'd say that he's contributing  :D

---------------------

EDIT:

Mother of God!.... Glen Johnson just cross to... wait for it... Maxi Rodriguez.  2-0 Liverpool 7'

6 goals in 3 games now for Maxi.

---------------------

EDIT:

3-0 Liverpool... Kuyt 16'.  Schwartzer giving up a soft goal on a dipping strike by Kuyt, allowing it to trouble him at the last second and deflecting it off the 'keeper's left shin.

Moments after having a penalty shout turned down after Suarez was pushed from behind by Hangeland and went down in the box as he bore down on Schwartzer.

Haha... ah see yuh edit.. hat trick Maxi strikes again.  7 in the last three games.

I eh watching the game, but allyuh looking/sounding dangerous for next year.

So much of that has to do with players being in form and thing doh... right now we peaking, but ah little too late.  I think what this shows is that we have a very solid foundation going into next season.  Roster needs tweaking... not blowing up, as seemed the case 6 months ago.

Maxi Rodriguez scores his hat trick.

This has to be the Dalglish effect.

Because Maxi was not in this kind of form before.

Ah said Fulham good fuh 5... dat is how yuh respond tuh ah Fulham threat.

Great ball by Jonjo Shelvey... but Fulham's central defense in a absolute mess.  Hangeland is a very good defender, but Suarez make him look like ah Championship player tonight.

Maxi Rodriguez scores his hat trick.

This has to be the Dalglish effect.

Because Maxi was not in this kind of form before.

The third was a nice shot... commentators say it was his weaker foot, but nice bullet!

Yeah... he left-footed, and de right usually just fuh balance.  He strike it so pure that even I momentarily fuhget it was he weak foot.  Nine times outta ten he slicing that high and wide.

Kali, I will never fuhgive Suarez fuh dat handball... but the man is a boss player, no denying that.

I really cyah believe I ever doubted the ability of Kenny to give this side a lift (I plead temporary insanity). When you have Maxi turning in two hat tricks in his last three appearances, that speaks volumes about the changed atmosphere at the club.

Even Lucas looking like a baller now.

On another point, I just heard McManaman refer to Liverpool and himself as "we".

I thought commentators supposed to be unbiased.

He always up front in announcing his past Liverpool ties (grew up on Merseyside as well) and that he'll always have a soft spot for the team.  On balance he tries to be (and I think he has been) fair in his commentary though.  But no concealing his joy with how the team has been playing.

As for praises to Kenny... indeed.  Macca made a great point about restoring a sense of pride in the side, but he's also been playing the youngsters a lot.  Flanagan seems a stalwart now... hard to believe he's only 17.  Shelvey getting a full half to stretch his legs today, and has consistently played as a sub the past two months.  Say nothing of what Spearing has done in Gerrard's absence.

Can't downplay the effect of Steve Clarke's role in the background either, from all accounts he's been immense.

--------------

Daft... Zamora actually having a very good game, he set up Dembele on the goal and is the focal point of their attack this second half.

----------------

Tenorsaw... whey sah boy, enjoy fuh de fellas on de forum  :applause: :applause:
