In boxing terms today, the record books doh mean dat much. It's the quality of who you meet. If you followed boxing, you'd understand. I too upset to explain this now. The reality is, talent wise she was now making an impact in REAL boxing terms, despite the world title three yrs ago.

Winnind a world title doh mean one ass. I could win one tmrw and another next month.

T&T's undefeated boxer Jizelle Salandy, dead in vehicular accident

Trinidad and Tobago's world class female boxer Jizelle Salandy has died following a vehicular accident early this morning.
C News understands the boxer was in her black Yaris vehicle driving west along the Beetham Highway in Port of Spain around quarter past seven when her she picked up a skid by National Petroleum.
Police say she hit a concrete cylinder lying at the side of the road and went approximately 143 feet airborne. The vehicle then dropped and hit the pillar of the flyover.
Officers say when they arrived on the scene Salandy was unresponsive.
She was rushed to the Port of Spain General Hospital where she died in casualty.
Police say the other passenger female footballer, Thamer Watson is in stable condition.
21 year old Salandy was fighting in the boxing ring since the age of 13. Her last fight was on December 28 2008 when she defeated Yahaira Hernandez of the Dominican Republic.

She had won all of her 17 professional bouts.

There was a Min of Sports news conference about her death TV 6 just now....I caught the end of it. They (TV6) then reported, unconfirmed though, that there may have been a male in the vehicle but he is missing....

This bothering or it's pure coincidences but check this forumites:yuh see january the 25th is the same day and month I almost lost my life in a car accident under the NP flyover,but that spot is notorius for bad accidents,mines occured about 24 years ago....

It have some spots that notorious 4 accidents. D Freeport flyover is 1 and a while back Gasparillo use 2 b popular. Gus Logie had 1 there in d early 90's.

d creek does take real life too, but this real sad, mi mother real cry, still cyar sink in that she gone,and like that

from what I just read on Wikipedia it said:

"Giselle Salandy died in a serious vehicular accident on the morning of January 4th 2009, when she crashed into a concrete pillar while driving west into Port of Spain on the Beetham Highway. She succumbed to her injuries at around 8:29 a.m. She was 21. The other occupant of the vehicle, national footballer Timo Watson is said to be still undergoing surgery."

yeah she plays for shorter university in Georgia....she went pleasantville senior..she also played on the women s national youth teams..i know her pretty well..my roommate spoke to another women national footballer this morning while she was in the hospital with her..she is in very critical condition...hope she recovers ..
