Scotland nominated for Powerade prize

Swansea City striker Jason Scotland is one of four players shortlisted for the 'Powerade' Championship Player of the Month award for December.

The 29-year-old Trinidad & Tobago international found the net on four occasions last month, scoring twice in the memorable comeback against Barnsley and one each in games against Sheffield United and Blackpool.

Stephen Hunt of Reading, Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd and Crystal Palace's Patrick McCarthy are the other names in line for the Championship accolade.

The winner will be announced on Sky Sports' Big League Weekend 2 which goes out at 6pm on Monday January 12.

they only 6 points from a playoff spot. it go be something else if they could get into the prem next yr. eh.
