John barnes signed a 6 months contract with the JFF, His contract ends after the gold Cup in June. And with Jamaica out of the World Cup, a move to the Premiership would be very appealing.  Being an English man, I dont think anyone would be surprised that his real goal is to be a successfull premiership manager. In fact, I dont think any manager in CONCACAF would turn down an opportunity to coach an EPL team. As I type this Guus Hiddink is about to share his Russia duties with with being coach of Chelsea, Portsmouth are trying to pry Ericson away from Mexico.

He might be eager but I can't see him coaching in the Premier.
Maybe the Championship, prove himself and then who knows.

If Paul Ince coached in the Premiere League, why not Barnes?

But you are correct...Barnes need to work his way up from the lower-leagues if he hopes to have a successful coaching career.

Well, he has a game vs Nigeria today. Not too shabby for a "lower league" coach.
