Perhaps the epitome of a Trinidadian is the child in the third row class with a dark skin and crinkly plaits who looks at you out of decidedly Chinese eyes and announces herself as Jacqueline Maharaj.- Merle Hodge

Whatever you do, do it to the purpose; do it thoroughly, not superficially. Go to the bottom of things. Any thing half done, or half known, is in my mind, neither done nor known at all. Nay, worse, for it often misleads.

TV6 say he did pull up in during the session but it didn't look too serious. That is a blow .

I like every other Trini would like to see our Under 20 qualify for the U20 WC coz I cant see us getting to SA2010,I say this purely on judging the team on paper,as we know it doesn't always go like that.I hope I am wrong but I also think our Under20S can make it to Egypt, but I have my doubts, again I hope I'm wrong.

I spoke to Jamal he really is devasted, this tournament meant a lot to him for personal reasons and it really is a pity he'll be missing this I know he wanted to play injured and all, put the staff wouldn't let him, guess things happen for a reason yes :D But being optimistic I think still T&T still have a very good chance of qualifying !!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Canada has last test at Marvin Lee Stadium

Ethan Gage
Listen to coach Tony Fonseca

Canada's men's U-20 team had its last official training today before the CONCACAF Men's Under-20 Championship. The team trained for one hour on the artificial turf at Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, Trinidad & Tobago. The young Canucks face host Trinidad & Tobago at 18.00 local (17.00 ET / 14.00 PT) tomorrow night.

"We have to stay on target," said coach Tony Fonseca. "We have to just go out, play our game and ignore everything else."

The 2009 CONCACAF Men's Under-20 Championship officially kicked off Friday in Bacolet on the Tobago island. On the opening day, El Salvador played Honduras to a 2:2 draw while USA walked past Jamaica with a 3:0 win.

Group B action kicks off on Saturday with Costa Rica facing Mexico in the opening match and Canada facing Trinidad & Tobago in the second match. Canada will be wearing its white uniform against Trinidad & Tobago's red. Both Canada and Trinidad & Tobago will announce their rosters approximately 65 minutes before game time.

Canada plays every second day, with other group matches on 9 March against Mexico and 11 March against Costa Rica. The top two teams in the group advance to the semi-final stage and qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Egypt 2009.
