Iraqi footballer shot dead by fan 
 
An Iraqi football player has been shot dead by a spectator as he was about to score an equalising goal.

The shooting happened in the last minute of a game between two local rivals on Sunday, police say.

The striker was shot in the head during the match in the city of Hilla, according to local security officials.

The game was being played between Sinjar and Buhayra. The suspected killer has been arrested as police carry out an investigation.

for world cup qualifying they had metal detectors entering with heavy security at the entrance and inside , but i suppose anything could happen.

To the family of the murdered footballer, my deepest condolences.

To the murderer: It's only a game. Does the grief and suffering that you have brought upon the family of the dead footballer make your action worth it? Not to mention the fact that you have to live with the consequences of your action for the rest of your life? It will forever be a stain on your character. Of course, you will be going to jail, but you will also have to live with what you have done.

Ditto!  The people who would do that have no conscience, cannot be reasoned with, don't know what remorse is and deserve to be removed from the face of the earth. 
My condolences tot he family and right thinking people of Iraq who are all stained by this madness.
