Someone should probably mention that Darryl Roberts started and played 65 minutes for Denizlispor today, so he must have recovered from appendicitis and could have been called  >:(

Apparently Warner had a good game for Leicester.Three great saves and good distribution according to their forums.

Another Article Intervewing Warner

City's latest addition, emergency loan signing Tony Warner, said that boss Nigel Pearson "gave us a blasting at half-time" when the team trailed to a Mark Yeates free-kick following a lacklustre showing in the opening 45 minutes against Colchester United at the Walkers Stadium.

"The manager gave us a blasting at half-time, saying he wanted us to come out of the traps and I think we did that," said the 34-year-old who was making his second City appearance following his 11th-hour loan switch from Hull.

"The tempo was sharp and we forced our game on them and got a goal. It (City's equaliser) might have been a lucky break but you take that at this stage in the season because it was important not to get beaten.

"There are seven games left and it was a point in the right direction, even if maybe that was not the feeling afterwards.

"Being seven points is a sign that things have gone well. But the thought was that it was two points dropped."

Even in just two games, Warner feels he has suffered the classic ups and downs of a promotion campaign. He featured in the tremendous 1-0 win at his former club, Millwall, on his City debut but, with City hoping to build on that against Colchester, they had to fight hard for just a point from a game they would have been expected to win.

Even though Warner was City's top man with some crucial second-half saves, he still felt the air of frustration.

He said: "It was disappointing because of the way the team had been playing but to hit back from a goal down is difficult in any game."

With seven games left, it is open to question how many more appearances Warner will get. His fellow loanee, David Stockdale, was on the bench against Colchester after recovering from a shoulder injury, while David Martin, the season-long loan keeper from Liverpool, is making progress after his back and rib trouble.

But just to be part of a high-flying side has been welcome for Warner, who clearly relishes the first-team action, which has the added edge of being at the heart of a promotion drive.

He said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. It has been good to get games and I am happy with my performances."

1. Kenwyne needs to get his act together. He hasnt played a decent game in a while. I know he doesnt get the best of service but he needs to make more runs and get involved more. Ever since he missed that sitter against El Salvador he just hasnt had any decent form.

2. Whaaaa de ass goin on wit Birchall? Another man who needs to step it up. He's turned a boost in profile and game from 2006 into a regression in career.....i guess he really is a trini

Warner Gets MOTM

Leicester City 1-1 Colchester United
21 March 2009

On-loan goalkeeper Tony Warner marked his home debut by winning the Player-Ratings.com Man of the Match award after the watching City faithful rated him the best player against Colchester. High ratings were scarce with no-one rating above a 7, but full back Kerrea Gilbert and winger Max Gradel did enough to warrant a place in the top three.

Barry Hayles failed to take his chance to impress and was voted City's worst player. Matt Oakley had a blip in his usual good form to be voted the second poorest player, with Andy King rounding off the bottom three.
