Defending free kicks
« on: October 04, 2005, 10:52:51 AM »
i was watching some tapes of our last couple games and i noticed when we get a freekick against us our defenders set the wall and pay little attentions to de keeper and his instructions. i think this could be adjusted and every little bit counts :beermug:

yeah we did the same thing when I played in college where a defender had more responsibility to set the wall than the keeper....I never agreed with it...

I didn't notice that Trinidad did that as well.

In Flex's interview with Lincoln Phillips, Phillips says:
"We are a bit vulnerable on free kicks...the players need to listen to Jack and respond faster to his instructions on all dead ball situations."

If he has noticed it, then hopefully it has been addressed.
